Parting Pain by iaVember

Time and time again none stays
One moves, travels, leaves – Grows
To hinder such is a futile attempt
For we have to move to find our ways

But, oh Parting, dear, is such a Pain
No known heart could withstand its punches
Waving palms, backs turned –
A perfect sight to put one in vain

Though the image of return resonates
Parting, dear, stays and lingers
Til, perhaps, the heart has grown used
To the image painted by fate

Put the Pain in Parting
Embrace the parting silhouette
Savor that minute before the absence
And soon Pain too shall be in fading

For we all shall learn the art
Of embracing the fading image of the sun
And greeting its rising with a warmer heart
As Pain too, in due, shall Part

A Crime [it is not] by iaVember

(Originally a note on my Facebook account, I have  deemed it just that I share it here for it is, after all, the first poem I have written in my renaissance.)

Moving on, if a crime, has been done by thousands -
Letting go, Looking forward to a new sunrise
Staring at the sunset and memories it cries -
No! Nay! 'tis never been a crime to fall and stand

For one to think it is wrong is to think wrongly
To consider stagnancy a choice so prudent
Staying on the same ground nostalgic'ly fervent
Making thineself believe 'tis what's happy, merry

Yet to fall and to stay is a heftier crime
Not to the people 'round whose eyes are fixed on thee
Nor to the society; Nor to your pedigree
But to thineself whom you owe every bit of dime

Charades, Pretentions, Masquerades all sorts of games
Can conceal your yearning to go and move forward
But 'til when can toilsome travesties hold your guard?
Thus, readiness to move forward comes with no shame

So to you whose heart once broken is now in whole
Tell no more fiction stories nor share filtered thoughts
If you've gone along, Go! for there's none to be fought
There's no point in pretentions; they're but shallow holes

Moving on, if a crime, has been done by thousands -
Letting go, Looking forward to a new sunrise -
Erase thine shame and thine shams and shed no more lies
For moving on is a Gift, a Crime it is not
